INTERFACE WITH PUBLIC |

There are certain items where the Forest Range Officers has to interface with public directly which are listed as follows : |

(1) |
REMOVAL OF FOREST GROWTH IN PRIVATE PATTA LANDS: |
(a) |
The person intending to fell and transport his Forest produce from his patta land has to apply in the prescribed format along with (20) point Proforma issued by the concerned M.R.o., copy of Pahani (2A Adangal) with Map to the Divl. Forest Officer. In such circimstances, as the instructions of the Divl., Forest Officer, the Forest Range Officer will have to inspect the patta land, get the Forest growth enumerated and send report to the Divl. Forest Officer with his remarks for taking further necessary action for felling and transportation. In this regard the F.R.O. should follow the Circular No.6/97 of Prl.Chief Conservator of Forest dated 29-4-97 (Rc.No.18505/97/F5) (Annuxure-19). |
(b) |
In case of requests of conversions of such felled material into charcoal burning, the Forest Range Officer has to submit his report with his remarks by following Circular instructions vide Prl.Chief Conservator of Forests Circular No.9/96 (Rc.No.2766/94/X3), Dt.9-9-1996.However, he should keep in view the instructions given in G.M.No.560, EFS & T, dt.6-2-99 in respect of patta land in Schedule Areas (Annexure-79). |

TRANSPORTATION OF OLD TIMBERS PERTAINING TO PRIVATE PERSONS (OLD HOUSE MATERIAL ETC) |

The person intending to transport his old house timber to any other place, he has to apply in the prescribed format to the Divl.Forest Officer with relelant documents of such old timber. As per the instructions of the Divl. Forest Officer, the F.R.O. has to inspect the old timber either pertaining to a old house or other wise and get it enumerated and send his report to the Divl. Forest Officer with his remarks for taking further necessary action issuing transport permits, in this regard the F.R.O. should follow the Circular Instructions under Circular No.14/95 (Rc.No.27661/95/X2), dt.27-12-95.(Annexure-28). |

Establishing Saw Mill and Timber Depots. |

In case where private individuals/companies apply to the Divl.Forest Officer in the prescribed format for establishing Saw Mill and Timber Depots, the F.R.O. under the instructions of Divl.Forest Officer has to enquire into such cases throughly and send his reports to the D.F.O. with specific recommendations keeping in view of the protection of forests. However he should follow the A.P. Saw Mill (Regulation) Rule 1969 and the A.P.Forest Produce (Storage and Depot.) Rules 1989. |

He has to enquire into issues concerning to damage caused by wild life either to human beings, cattle or crops and submit his report to the Divl.Forest Officer recommending compensation to the affected parties. G.O.Ms.No.112, dt.3-8-99 & G.O.Ms.No.180, dt.19-11-98 and G.O.Ms.No.130 EFS & T dt.8-10-97 (Annexure-29) to be followed. |

The F.R.O.should also enquire into grievances put forth to him by the public concerning to Forest and wild life and submit his report to the Divl.Forest Officer for taking necessary action with his specific recommendations. |
(6) |
He should also render technical assistance to the public, concerning with tree planting, Farm Forestry and Nursery Raising. |
