Andhra Pradesh Micro irrigation
Project has been started on 3rd November, 2003
Aimed to cover 2.00 Lakhs Ha. of Stress Mandals in the State.
ADVANTAGE
OF MICRO IRRIGATION:
Saves lot of ground water (53%)
Improves productivity 20 - 100%`
Saves Electricity consumption's(358 kWh)
Saves labour on
weeding, fertilizers and pesticides application
(63%)
Saves cost of inputs like fertilizers/pesticides
(39%)
Saves precious time.
Saves 70% on irrigation costs.
APMIP IN WEST GODA
The Project is being implemented
through out the district.
Twelve Micro Irrigation Companies
viz., JAIN, PREMIER, Nagarjuna, Parixit, Rungta,Haritha, Kumar,
Swati, Netafim, Nandi, Sudhakar and Plastro are Working in the District.
The subsidy increased from 50% to 60% on total cost of Drip Irrigation
System
from 13.06.2005 onwards
An area of 6821 Ha., covered so far.
3309 farmers availed the benefit of
Micro Irrigation With total unit cost of Rs. 17.98
Crores
Rs. 9.82 Crores is released as subsidy (60%) to the farmers so far.
During 2006-07 The District Target is
6300 Ha. (Drip 5700 Ha+ Sprinkler 600Ha.)
Out of which 1827.55 Ha (Drip 1227.55 Ha.+ Sprinkler 600.00 Ha) completed.
