The Govt if India have launched S.G.S.Y (Swarnajayanthi Gram Swarozgari Yojana) w.e.f 1st April 1999 with an object to uplift 30% of the poor families in each block should be covered next 5 years.

Various Components Under S.G.S.Y :

  • Revolving Fund
  • Training
  • Infrastructure
  • Risk Fund

Subsidy

The Mandal Level SGSY Committee will identify economic key activities and cluster villages for each Mandal. The Benificiaries will be selected in the joint identification GramaSabhas for releasing subsidy.

Note :- There will be no monitory limit on subsidy for irrigation projects.

Reservations

  • Group Loans are 70% , Indiviaul Loans are 30% in this S.G.S.Y Scheme.
  • Women groups are having 50% reservation out of the Group Loans.
  • In the above Loans SC/STs having 50% , Women having 40% and PH categeory having 3% of Reservations.

Self Help Groups

The Self Help Group consisting of 10 to 20 BPL(Below Poverty Line) members residing at same place with same objective.

Properties of Good Groups

  1. Periodical & Regular Savings
  2. Internal Lending
  3. Regular Meetings

In case of MI and PH (disabled) persons the group size may be 5 to 20 persons.

Identification of Beneficiaries

  • MPDO, Bank Branch Manager & Village Surpanch are jointly selected the beneficiaries by conducting Grama Sabha.
  • The MPDO shall examine and process the application of the beneficiaries identified by the above team and send to the DRDA along with Bank consent.
  • The Collector and Chairman DRDA will release the subsidy as per rules.

Eligibility for getting Subsidy

  • All the Group members should be BPL family.
  • The beneficiaries should be the villagers of the selected villages by the SGSY committee.
  • The beneficiaries have interest and skill in the activity which they select. The activity will be identified by the SGSy committee.
  • The priority will be given to whom not avoided the subsidy from any Govt agency.

Eligibility for getting Revolving Fund

  • All the member should be BPL family.
  • Group should be six months age, regular & periodical saving.
  • Group should maintain internal lending.
  • Group should organise regular & periodical meetings.

Training

Basic orientation training programmes & skill development trainings are organising at TTDC & ETTCs to the swarozgaries. As well as , awareness camps , and women meets are conducted to the SHG members for capacity building.

Infrastructure

  • Establishment of technology at TTDC.
  • Establish the Production and Marketing centers to SHGs.
  • Providing managerial subsidy to oraganisations.
  • Establish the machinery at mandal level for common use.
