                          ANDHRA PRADESH VAIDYA VIDHANA PARISHAD

       The A.P vaidya vidhana parishad is an autonomous organization established by an act No.29 of 1986 with effect from 1-11-1986 and started functioning from 1-3-1987.The A.P Vaidya Vidhana Parishad is responsible for undertaking overall anagement of all aspects of the project including execution, procuring works and goods, supervising, monitoring and reporting. The staff working in A.P.V.V.P are government servants on deputation term basis as on today.

       The I.A.S officer is appointed as the project director for the A.P.First Referral Health System Project(APFRHSP). He is onsible for implementation of World Bank aided FRHSP and reports directly to Govt. and world Bank regarding the process of World Bank Project.  The commissioner of A.P.V.V.P  a reputed member of the Medical Profession shall be the chief executive head of the department, exercise general control, supervision over the dispensaries and hospitals.  He works with close co-operation and co-ordination with the Project Director in the implementation of the World Bank assisted APFRHSP and acts as a whole time officer.  The organization as a whole works under the Commissioner and the A.P.F.R.H.S Project director. Members of the association includes a very large system maintained by different types of organizations includes aids from world bank .   The audit and finance is implemented in a better way. The  funds released by the organization is  distributed to all areas for both development and maintenance purposes.

 

 

            DISTRICT HOSPITAL ELURU

                                            

HISTORY

 

      

       26th October, 1949.  The foundation stone was laid by the Governor of Madras "Sri.Prakasha " B.A.LLB  and was opened on 4th September, 1953 starting with 100 beds of accommodation. Later In 1985 the hospital was taken up by the A.P.V.V.P  with   "Syamala Devi" as  Asst.Director  and further  was aided by the   World Bank  in  1987. Finally it was completely modernized in 1999 with 350 beds opened by the CM of Andhra pradesh Sri.Nara ChandraBabu Naidu.

       The  services of A.P.V.V.P are distributed according to the strength of the hospitals existing in the Andhra pradesh and are categorized as   "District main hospitals",  "Area hospitals" and  "Community Health Centers" .  This hospital  assists public with the most advanced Medicare technologies and assists in effectively serving the health care needs by extending a helping hand to the needy and the poor who urge  treatment.

       This hospital acts as "District main hospital" which serves people of three districts with latest and advanced technology Medicare constituting of " well  equipped operation theatres, Air conditioned rooms with generator facilities, ultra sound scanners, X-ray, blood bank with 24 hour service, ambulance which can serve emergencies, ICU working 24 hours.    Recently "Tele medicine" was started on 27.4.2003 by the M.L.A of Eluru Sri.Ambika Krishna to provide better means of aid from distant places. A National Blind Control program is also taken up as a free service with food and traveling allowances.  Hospital  environment is kept clean and green with good  sanitation facilities undertaken by the supervisor of the "Sulabh" International, Hyderabad.

         Also a zonal work shop for repairing hospital equipment all over the district. On the whole it provides  you with the best possible medical care in a warm, caring and professional manner.  Medical statistics are started from the year 2000

    The hospital is awarded II place in the state level in 2001 and I place in 2002.
