West Bengal Board of Primary Education has issued a recruitment notification on 21st October to fill up the vacant positions of Primary Teacher in State Government Schools. Through this WBBPE Primary Teacher Recruitment Notification, the department is going to fill up the 11765 vacancies.

Educational Qualification
The candidates should have passed their 12th Class with a minimum of 50% marks and finished or appeared in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)
OR
The candidates have passed the 12th class with a minimum of 45% marks and finished or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
OR
The candidates should have passed their 12th Class with a minimum 50% mark and finished or appear in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India shall be considered.
OR
The candidates should have done Graduation and passed or appeared in the final year of B.Ed.
Age Limit
The age of candidates will not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years to apply for this recruitment. Upper age relaxation will be applicable as per state government rules.

Selection Process
